I am really loving the aesthetic of nose rings at the moment. They impart a certain air of nonchalance. Evoking thoughts of wild creatures that can’t be caged. I’m not sure a nose ring would be the right look for me. Tempted though. Hmm…
Feel free to chime in here, Mother.

My sister got her nose pierced at 18 and still has it 12 years on. Always a small silver stud and people think it is a freckle.
I say do it (sorry Amber’s mum) and when required, swap the ring for a small stud.
I’ve been thinking about getting mine done a while now too. My friend Dayna at Streetwise in Newmarket said she’d do it for free… hmm hmmmm extra tempting!
I used to want one because Melanie C had one. It definitely suits those people pictured, although I imagine it’s partly because they’re so pretty they could wear any old adornment and be fine…
Let’s get our noses pierced and run away and join the circus! Keen?
It is definitely the right thing for me and my look, but I have a wonderful friend who has one and it has become the symbol of her freedom. She grew up in China and now studies in the US. When she went back to China this summer ot visit her parents, she had to take it out. (and then it closed up). The first thing she did this semester when getting back to the States was to piece her nose again. Having the piercing was the symbol of her independence in the states, something she could never have achieved in China. Isn’t that sweet?
Just do it, you can always take it out if it’s not right for you.
I have a nose ring and not a particularly great nose but I love love love it.
You guys put forward a strong argument. Maybe I need to get a hoop earring and play dress-ups for a few minutes. “LOOK I’M A GYPSY!”
