Para-die-sh? ParaDISH! Para-deesh? It’s the name of a new Chinese restaurant… It all sounds delicious to me.

This magnificence lies directly beneath my workplace. It has been months in construction, and we are convinced it must be owned by some Asian mafiosa as a money laundering enterprise. But they have been very friendly. Last week they brought up a complimentary selection of dishes from their lunch menu. In spite of the stark white, gallery-esque interior, it is standard food court fare. Possibly less exciting than the Ponsonby Road food court. Heartbreaking, I know.
Oh, that’s a travesty. I was planning on holding either my funeral or wedding reception here (the white is divine). But y’know, if the food is not up to scratch, it’s never going to happen.
