My mom always told me the most beautiful women ever were was the 70's because they took stellar care of themselves. I don't really think about it but the 70's were all about at home remedies for beauty and relaxation. I totally believe it now, especially with the findings of this book!

I have my mother's copy of the Seventeen magazine Beauty Workshop binder from the late '60s, early '70s and been reading and re-reading it since i found it when I was about ... 11-years-old! You can even see my notes to my younger self scribbled in the margins! Now that I'm older I realize how impractical and unhealthy the diet/exercise advice in the book is, but it's an interesting insider look at how young women were expected to behave and, in particular, how they were expected to go about getting a job in the modeling industry. (My mother was a model, but this binder is from some kind of beauty course she took in high school.)

I am going to keep my eyes peeled for this gem though! It looks so wonderful!
