This past week I have been thinking about Japan A LOT. Tokyo, most of all… Here’s a ‘Destination Japan’ reading list I wrote for Mausumi (such a sweet, refreshing blog). It’s a few must-read books that involve Japan somehow. Sigh! Where do you dream of from your armchair?

I dream of just about anywhere that isnt work at the moment! Mostly small islands off of Croatia an being up in the hills of Tuscany. I’d settle for a roasting hot London weekend spent barefoot in the park with my dog though…unlikely! xxx

Thank you so much for contributing!

I’m dreaming of Tokyo too at the moment, mostly due to sarah’s blog posts a little while ago!

Too bad that Tokyo is so far away (and so expensive to live in). but one day…

I dream of Japan. I’m not learning the language for nothing!

They had Tokyo for $999 return over new years this morning on GAS Amber!

Ah, exactly the same place. I miss everything.

there was a campaign there once. i can’t remember if it was a Tokyo travel campaign or a keep the streets of Tokyo free of cigarette butts campaign, but! the slogan was dokidoki Tokyo. which i’ve never forgotten. and i had to ask of course, but dokidoki is the sound your heart makes when it beats faster and you fall for someone. something like that! i love it.

SDR: Dokidoki! That is so cute. I’ve heard of it but didn’t realise it was a heartbeat.
