Here, have some gratuitous shots of The Mint Chicks at the Vitamin Water fest that was the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards. Yay New Zealand music! It was a good time to celebrate our local noise. The boys were very nice and played some Rock Band with us.

Anyway, the point of this really – apart from me being all “Hi, look how cool I am in these polished PR photos” – is to tell you that the Mint Chicks covered the legendary 1964 New Zealand and Australian number one hit ‘She’s a Mod’ in honour of Ray and the Invaders.
It’s rather snazzy little tune and you can download The Mint Chicks rendition here with all proceeds going to the Raukatauri Music Therapy Trust, which is the official charity of the New Zealand Music Awards. How nice indeed!
P.S. Look what I took home with me…

I was hanging with one of the heirs to beautiful Stebbing Recording Studios the other day and heard the soon-to-be-released Ray and the Invaders greatest hits. It’s full of awesome little tidbits about their career and oh so lovely – I can’t wait until it’s released for real!
America made me addicted to Vitamin water.
Vitamin water really do know how to do product placement, don’t they? Every time I watch Gossip Girl, it’s all “Hey, do you want a Vitamin Water?” I love it though: tastes like cordial, is ostensibly good for my health. Check and check.
Hannah JV: That’s so cool, hope its out by Xmas so I can give it to my mum! Stebbing is really close to me, I can see it out of my bedroom window. “My local recording studio”, haha.
Amelia: I think giving 8 cases to a blogger-type is definitely a marketing move of the future. I’ve snapped 100 pictures with Vitwater in hand at least.
So true about Vitamin Water in America. It is everywhere, as I’m sure you will soon discover! Exciting!
