1. Have a shoes trade night! Get all of your gal-pals together and ask them to bring about 5 pairs or more of shoes that they don't want, or are tired of. This is a great activity because it freshens your wardrobe, is very sociable, especially if there are some nice drinks about ;) and its great fun!

2. Change the furniture layout of your bedroom. It takes up a lot of time, especially if you have junk stashed under/in your furniture that you should clean out. It is very refreshing to have a different aspect of your room. Trust me, its worth your time!

3. Grab a friend, and dig a hole in your backyard. A REALLLLY big hole. Then sit in it. Together. And talk. Because it is your hole, and nobody else is allowed in it. Get ALL your stress off your chest. Then fill in your hole, and plant some flowers in the freshly up-turned earth, signifying the grave of all your worries.

4. Go to your local pound, and adopt a new pet. Like a dog. Go for a walk with your new bestfriend. Teach him tricks, and play with him. Pets are such amazing friends.

5. Go to your garden, with about 5 different types of flower-seeds. Put the seeds all together into a tub and sprinkle them evenly in your garden. Then, when they are all grown-up, make bouquet's for your friends. This is great for christmas time - especially if you have some colourful celophane handy to wrap them.

6. Go to a retirement home, and talk to the elderly. You brighten their days by giving them attention and you hear words of wisdom and some funny tales.

Ahh, I am such a bad typer, it has taken me forever to type this much. I hope my ideas are good fun :)

Ok, it's official. I'm in love with your blog.
♥

I've been surfing the entire morning (it's my day off, finally), and I came upon your blog from WishWishWish's blogroll. I'm glad I did! :) Added you to mine as well. Have a nice day!

i know you put cooking but baking is one of my faves. Around our garden we have a lemon tree and a grapefruit tree. i try to make all sorts of different tasty goodies out of the fruit and one time made a wicked marmalade and gave it out to family and friends. you can get the recipe from edmonds cook book.

Is that Ponsonby Pool Hall? That place is awesome! I used to rock that place fairly regularly when I lived round the corner. Recommended.

This is a brilliant post! Another good one is berry picking which is always good fun (and you'll have enough jam to pass off as little unexpected gifts to friends!)
The photo idea is brilliant as well, I once went around London photographing every cat I saw, a suprising amount when you're looking for them haha!

I love the structured photo mission idea! Think I'm gonna do that. Thanks for the inspiration. Your last post '30 fun things to do for cheap or free' was the first post I read on your website. I came through the Twitter of Project Day Zero. I've put some ideas of yours in it. :)
