PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE: 15-JUNE-09

by Amber on June 15, 2009 in Photographic Evidence

Always looking at the lights and always going out. Highlights of the week: a yummy dinner at Chow with my parents, meeting a friend for hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire, checking out bars in a neighbourhood I don’t usually frequent (Kingsland), and a Friday night excursion to my favourite restaurant – Tanuki’s Cave. It’s nice to go somewhere where you know everybody, the tunes are always sweet and the food never fails to AMAZE.

Uh yeah, too much eating and drinking! I will have to restrain myself this week. Although I doubt I will – Tanuki is always calling my name.

Tell me, what’s the name of your local haunt? Why do you love it?

What’s the name of the bar with the lamps? I assume it’s the Kingsland one with circular lanterns outside? I walked past it on Saturday & fell in love but had no time to check it out.
My fav local haunt is Sweet Mother’s Kitchen. Best cheap food in Wellington (curly fries – always ask for bbq sauce & creole mayo and double dip) and sweet kitschy decor.

Kate: The lamps shot is actually from Chow, in the Viaduct. Oh Chow, why are you so good. I have heard Sweet Mother’s Kitchen repped pretty hard before – I can’t wait to visit! A Wellington week of eating & drinking sounds like a super idea to me :)
