A lot has gone on in the last week. To be honest it’s been a total watershed, which I will tell you all about very soon…

However, here are some of the things I got up to: Chuckled at Dai Henwood at the comedy festival, attended going away drinks for a friend, stopped in at a party for Serato’s cool White Label, had a catch up with the Alt Albion crew in a quasi-English pub… and wrote, wrote, wrote.
After such a whirlwind week, I did what any exhausted girl would do; I went home. Home is to go north, to Omapere, a minuscule hamlet cradled in the arms of the Hokianga Harbour.
It was bliss – as you can see from all the photos in my Hokianga Flickr set. The last picture is from my Gran’s house… now you can you see where the whole spoon thing stemmed from!

Waow. Like nana, like Amber! Cutest little keyring and that view leaves me a little speechless. :o
I demand to know three things:
1. How are the Alt Albion crew?
2. What are you writing?
3. I forgot the third one….
I really like that first picture.
Sheena: It is glorious. I want to take everyone there, it is such a special little place.
Pe: 1. They’re grand! It was not an entire team catch up but it was so awesome to see Sri, Duncan B, Dave & Maya. Naturally there are future drinking plans. 2. Everything I can get my filthy wee mitts on.
i don’t think i realized that you are in new zealand? i lived there as a little girl. i really like your photos.
hmmm. actually, i think i must have known re new zealand. i’m only 1/2 a space cadet or something.
that is a serious spoon collection, i am jealous!
SwanDiamondRose: Heh, I think I would come across as very odd, space cadet-esque even, if you didn’t know I was from NZ. Wow, I didn’t know that! Where did you live? How old were you? Did you like it?
Luna: I am too! Who knew they made spoon racks?
Gosh how beautiful, colour me green! I wish I could escape London for a while…
The spoons are fantastic! I’m always drawn to people who collect unusual things, makes me wonder how it started!
wow i’m really behind on your bloggings. your blog is exploding with great goodness. it’s inspiring me to get back on mine.
i was only in new zealand when i was 2. so i don’t remember it really. then australia. i have vague memories of houses and hedge hogs but they are sort of all mixed together. i asked my mother again where we lived but now i’ve forgotten! omg. this is the vaguest thing i’ve ever written i think. but i do have childhood toys of a duck billed platapus and ootpik. which i think are actually australian? omg again. anyway. both those places are still a part of me in my family even if the memories are a mess.
