Only time for weekend photos. This week has been a hurried affair – seriously, May, double digits? It’s scary how fast time goes past sometimes… (Especially when I realised I’d been writing CFS for an entire year!)

My favourite dress. I bought it in Manchester – it’s a reworked vintage lace frock. I wore it on Friday night to a lovely birthday party - good conversation, cake and beer.
The purse is my new fake LV from the depths of a Chinese bag shop. I’ve never been into luxe brands/fakes, but this was cute. Buying it also meant I had the experience of going into the back room – ooh aah! It seems every Chinese retail store has another room out the back with (relatively) better goods and shinier, slicker sales pitches.

A cafe called Occam might just be the saviour of my Saturday mornings… Hot coffee, bagels and lots of talk about bikes.

Saturday night there was a rambunctious party at my new house, to celebrate one friend arriving back in the country and to say goodbye to another off to London. Champagne headaches for all!
What did you lovely people get up to in the weekend?

I learnt how to make an Indian dish! Super proud face. And drank feijoa 42 Below with some friends and woke up hangoverless, yay for New Zealand!
oh wow, that purse is loverly!
You’re weeking sure sounds more fun than mine, which was spend revising for an exam i think i just flunked.. oh well, there is always gin… and more gin :-D
Could you please tell me where abouts the purse shop is? That purse would be a perfect gift for my girl!
Sheena: Yum, 42 Feijoa & apple juice is one of my favourite things. EVER. Tastes like summer.
Lorna: Yup, let the gin be with you. Hope the test results come through alright xx
Eva: Sorry – I was vague, oops. The store is literally in China. Try a local market? Good luck with gift hunting.
My weekend was so boring. My friends got Mister Tokyohanna way too drunk off of brambles (some combination of lemonade, gin and blackberries), and all of Saturday he was curled into a ball. Felt guilty going outside. Sunday I was just plain lazy… cooked a nice dinner though ^^
Hilarious about the “back room,” those are all over Chinatown here! I have never been in one, but I see the “come here” gesture all the time when travelers ask about “better” fakes. Ha!
Johanna: Hmm I have had a similar experience with Brambles. A fond memory of getting stained fingers from eating blackberries while the bartender tried to mix my drink. You should inspect a backroom for the hell of it – it’s very interesting… so outside the Western idea of retail!
