A week of the hot summer sun calls for many evening swims. Last night’s dip into the ocean was very special – right on the witching hour.

Time for a whole lot of moon-bathing and surfing. It felt very mystical. I’m glad I got in a few good hours at the beach before my trip. Next stop: freezing temperatures and woolen coats!
To be honest, I’m not sure which weather I’d prefer to be in right now… Summer is my favourite season but it’s too hot to sleep. That makes me a wee bit cranky! At least with the cold you can always layer, layer layer… What season do you love the best?

What beautiful photos!
The 1st photo is beautiful & my favorite.
My answer to “favorite season” changes all the time. This year it’s winter, though. I’ve had a lovely time dressing properly for it and doing cozy things. Being prepared makes all the difference (I never was before & was subsequently always miserable). I am content with staying in winter for a while. Though seeing Fred Flare’s email blast this morning gave me some spring optimism – take a look!

Hope you’re having fun…
Oh! I torment myself with those Fred Flare emails even though they don’t ship to NZ.
I like the little rituals of winter, like hot chocolates and writing in foggy glass with your finger. That’s what gets me through – embracing everything winter specific!
(Hmm weatherwise I’m sitting in HK airport right now and it is so humid, you can see the air.)
