January, you shimmy so sweetly! Food, flowers, sunshine, friends and music. I had the joy of going to two good shows this week – Flying Lotus on Thursday night, then Metronomy & The Teenagers on Friday.
Endlessly light evenings mean I have time to go to the beach.

Summer hydrangeas. Yes, I am a wee bit obsessed. You can't argue their beauty though, can you?
I also went for many long walks at the beach, enjoyed Taco Tuesday, went out for Thai with new friends and wrote a lot! I assure you that as the year speeds up the photos will be more interesting; summer in New Zealand is always really chilled out.

I can’t believe there are no squirrels in New Zealand. That sucks :(
Such gorgeous photos. I took my dogs for a nice long cold winter walk in the forest yesterday. Which is about a million miles away in any direction from these images!

Awww…This post made me wish it was summer so unbelievably bad! I want to replace these 14 inches of snow with hydrangeas (I’ve never known what they looked like until this post)!
But, what I want most of all…is that strawberry rocky road ice cream bar… it looks so delicious!

I went to Metronomy and the Teenagers aswell…I thought the Teenagers were alright but Metronomy were super-amazing!
Juliet, I wish they’d played for longer – an hour was not on! The hand movements and touch lamps were wicked.
